Good Morning Train!

WOOOOHOOOO for Wednesday!  I'm stuck at work for two more days, but I'm itching to get on the road... LOL  Something else must have blew in with the cooler weather over the weekend because my nose went crazy, itching and on fire and the itching moved to my ears at night.  So on Monday I went to the doc, got some meds, the nose spray works fantastic, but at the price I had to pay it'd better!  It's that Omnaris stuff, little bottle of nasal spray even with insurance was 50 bucks and says it's only good for 4 months then throw it away!!! Next time I'm skipping the nasal spray I don't care how good it is! 

Prayers are going up for all that need them!

My Wednesday is not going to well and it is only 6am....I have been up for hours unable to get back to sleep.  I went to sleep very early last night about 8pm....Don called about 10pm and I dont even remember talking to him (sorry honey).  Hopefully this train has a Starbucks car, where you will find me hooked up to an IV of decaf latte w/half s/f vanilla and half s/f caramel.

Today at work, it is more individual tax returns under extension...oh, what fun!!!

 Why didn't I think of mixing canned pumpkin in with my oatmeal before I cook it.  OMG YUM!

Warm yummy pumpkin oatmeal in my tummy.  Coffee brewing.  Its halfway through the week.  Clint has 2 interviews scheduled.  These are all signs of a good day

Last night I hit the thrift store...found a new pair of jeans.  The other 2 I visit regularly were both closed by the time I made it out and about so I'll try to stop at one of them and see if I can find at least 1 or 2 more pairs.  The ones I got this past spring are huge on me.

I hope our cruisers are having a great time.

The Collins Park Thirft on Collins at Abram (? I think) has some very good deals on name brand stuff. I don't know if you've found that one yet. It sits behind a CVS or a Walgreens on the north west of Collins. 

Pumpkin oatmeal sounds heavenly btw. Do you buy packets or do you make it?

I use the 'Active Lifestyle' instant brand ...its fairly low in sugar and 8 grams of protein per packet.  They have a brown sugar/pecan flavor.



I used 1 packet of oatmeal, about 1/4 cup pumpkin puree, 2/3 cup skim milk (another 7 g of protein) and sprinkle pumpkin pie spice on top.  Nuked it for 90 seconds...stirred it...then mine needed another 45 seconds...probably because of all the pumpkin.  I personally didn't even need any additional sweetener but you could add to taste after cooking if needed.

DELICIOUS!  It was so warm and yummy.  It certainly could be done with 'real' or non instant oatmeal but I have the packets in the cupboard from my second surgery I'm trying to use them up (I hate wasting food).

I will DEFINITELY be checking out that thrift store.  I know exactly where you are talking about but probably because it sits behind the pharmacy I've never noticed it.
